While your water and sewer system may appear to be a complex maze of pipes, it actually isn’t all that complicated. Your home plumbing, water and sewer systems are made up of three basic components: a water supply system, appliances and fixtures, and a drain system. Here is a brief rundown of how it all comes together: Fresh water enters your home through the main water supply line connected to a municipal water company or your well.  Upon entering your home the main supply line splits off, running to the hot water heater and throughout the pipes in the home to your bath tubs, clothes washers, dishwashers and sinks.
